Free webinar on the investment potential of Balkan hydropower is to be held on 20 June

Balkan region has the largest remaining unexploited hydropower potential in Europe. Up to 30 per cent of rivers remain in near-natural or pristine states.

The region has an estimated 80,000 GWh technical potential. With financial assistance from international organizations, development of 2000 new hydropower projects is planned in the region.
