VOITH HYDRO IN ANGOLA

... for the establishment of a training centre within the country. The memorandum was signed in the presence of Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel by João Baptista Borges – the Angolan minister for Energy and Water, and Dr. Toralf Haag – Chairman of the management board at Voith. The company intends to establish a training and on-going education centre for hydropower as a renewable energy source as part of the expansion of involvement in the area. The company is to be supported by the MINEA (Republic of Angola Ministry for Energy and Water). Voith Hydro has been equipping hydroelectric power stations in Africa since the 1930s.
