… and reach a capacity of 14 MW, reports Última Hora. The works are scheduled to be completed in 2018. The application for approval of the building project has already been submitted to the relevant authority, Fonacide, which decides on where funds are to be allocated. The proposed plant is a pilot project which it is intended will enable experience of constructing and operating small-scale hydro power plants to be gathered. Total costs of around 50 million US dollars are expected, and the intention is that the project will also create 1,500 jobs.
